Again, Bayelsa Deputy Chief of Staff, Deputy Governor’s Office, Barr. Dumbo Dumps PDP for SDP
Barely 24 hours after the Brass Local Government Chairman, Hon Victor Isaiah decamped to the Social Democratic Party, SDP from the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, the immediate past Deputy Chief of Staff, Deputy Governor’s Office, Barr. Alex Dumbo has followed.
Barr. Dumbo said the labelling of some party members who have passionately served the PDP over the years as “Restoration politicians” was unbearable and smacks of disdain and distasteful to his person and what he stands for.
Like the Brass Local Government Chairman, he averred that the PDP no longer offers a platform where the principles of equity, fairness and justice guided members; and his ambition to grow politically and provide democratic dividends to his people is being denied by the party.
Recall that Barr. Tesufa Alex Dumbo and others had recently contested the House of Representatives Primaries but lost to the incumbent Dr. Fred Agbedi who is representing Sagbama/Ekeremor Federal Constituency of Bayelsa State.
Some supporters of Barr. Dumbo are insisting that a last minute directive to all delegates to deliver Dr. Fred Agbedi did not go down well with other aspirants.
Prior to the party primaries Barr. Dumbo resigned his appointment as Deputy Chief of Staff to the Bayelsa State Deputy Governor.
