The news that Osun State Governor-elect Ademola Adeleke has broken his promise to clear the backlog of salaries and pensions has been dismissed by Adeleke as false, TrackNews reports.
The governor-elect, who urged people to ignore the news, stated that he would not leave any stone unturned.

He also stated that everything he promised during his campaign would be kept.

Ademola Adeleke appeared in an interview, where he discussed a variety of issues concerning governance in Osun State.

The governor-elect called it a lie from the pit of hell in a statement signed by his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed.

It also maintained that Adeleke never disavowed his promise to clear outstanding workers’ salaries, pensions, and gratuities and improve the lives of all Osun people during the interview.

“Contrary to the deceitful author’s frustrated mind, the Governor-elect detailed how he will source funds to meet the needs of workers, including his unique promise of reviewing issues of leakages in State finance and redirecting security votes to meet urgent State needs.”

“In the interview, Senator Adeleke not only reiterated his commitment to addressing workers’ welfare, which is number one on his five-point agenda, but he also stated that payment of workers’ entitlement will not be recorded as an achievement because a laborer deserves his pay.”

“On the larger issue of governance, the Governor-elect discussed his plans for education, security, job creation, agriculture, infrastructure, debt management, and other pertinent issues.” People who were still reeling from their defeat were probably unable to sit through the entire interview to see a Governor-elect demonstrate his clear grasp of issues and readiness to hit the ground running.”

While reiterating that the governor-elect regards public office as a sacred trust requiring honor and integrity, Rasheed added that Adeleke would keep all of his electoral promises to the people.
