Oil Theft: Petroleum Minister Hosts Maj. Gen. Barry Ndiomu.
Nigeria’s Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Oil), Sen. Heineken Lokpobiri recently hosted Maj. Gen. Barry Ndiomu (Retd), the Interim Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), where both leaders held discussions on ongoing efforts to combat oil facility vandalization and crude oil theft in the Niger Delta region.
During the meeting, Senator Lokpobiri commended Maj. Gen. Ndiomu and his team for their dedication to supporting the Federal Government’s initiatives aimed at creating a conducive environment for investors and promoting national prosperity.
He emphasized the importance of continuing to pursue measures to achieve economic prosperity.
In his remarks, the amnesty boss promised to continue to put in more efforts in ensuring that the peace in Niger Delta is sustained. He reminded the minister that there has been a drastic reduction in oil theft since he assumed office.
As a takeaway from the meeting, both parties expressed commitment to working towards a more prosperous and secure future for the nation.
