REVEALED: “Kwakwanso Works For APC” – Deji Adeyanju
Mohammed Oluwatimileyin Taoheed reports,
Mr. Deji Adeyanju, a human rights activist and former Youth Leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has claimed that the presidential flag-bearer of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Mr. Rabiu Kwankwanso is working for Bola Tinubu, his counterpart from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Track News Nigeria learnt that Tinubu and Kwankwaso’s relationship dates back to 1992, during the build-up to the historic 1993 free and fair election won by Chief MKO Abiola.
“Kwankwaso is working for Tinubu,” Adeyanju wrote tersely on his known Twitter handle.
Recall our earlier report on the opinion of Kwakwanso about Tinubu.
When asked, the celebrated politician commented: “Bola Tinubu is my friend of many years. If I had not contested, I would have recommended him. I do not play politics of bitterness. We are both in the presidential race but I am a better candidate.”
Track News Nigeria observes that many people misconstrued the statement to mean an endorsement of Tinubu.
However, the Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso (RMK) Presidential Campaign Organisation told Track News Nigeria that the former Kano state governor is still fully active in the presidential contest.
