Former Manchester United man, Gary Neville has revealed the only way Arsenal could win the Premier League title this season.
He said the Gunners must sign at least one striker in the January transfer market to provide them with more attacking options.
This is following the Gunners 0-0 draw with Newcastle United in the Premier League on Tuesday night.
Newcastle held Arsenal for the entire duration with goalkeeper Nick Pope only making one save of note.
Arteta only made one change out of his five options, bringing Ben White for Takehiro Tomiyasu and Neville noted that the Spanish boss does not even have faith in £34m summer signing, Fabio Vieira.
“There just isn’t really that option to make Arsenal a lot better in the striking position,” Neville said on Sky Sports.
Neville said that Arteta might have thought that bringing in Vieira could weaken his team and so decided to leave the Portuguese, his only striking option, on the bench.
“So he doesn’t have faith in his bench to improve the team that was out there,” the Red Devils legend added.
“He will need to go into the transfer market.
“Arsenal can win the league here, when are they going to be in that position again? You don’t know.
“That would bolster Arsenal’s chances of winning that game and turning it from one point into three.”
