‘I’m A Winner’ – Dino Melaye Boldly Declares Despite Losing At PDP Primaries
Former Kogi West Senator, Dino Melaye has declared he’s still a winner despite losing at the PDP primary election which ended his bid to return to the senate.
In a post shared on his Instagram page, on Wednesday morning, Dino Melaye said his winner’s status is not tied to any election because it is his eternal heritage.
Dino Melaye also said he’s very proud to be associated with Atiku Abubakar whom he described as a true patriot, consummate humanitarian and passionate unifer.
Dino Melaye added that people shouldn’t make a mistake because he’s not giving up on his plans.
He wrote: “I am a winner. My winner’s status is not tied to any election. It is my eternal heritage. Dino is Dino. I am very proud to be associated with Atiku Abubakar. A true Patriot, consumate humanitarian and passionate Unifier. Don’t make a mistake Dino is coming. SDM”
TrackNews earlier reported that Dino Melaye was defeated at the primaries by a three terms House of Representative member, Hon. Tajudeen Yusuf who represents Kabba/Bunu Ijumu Federal constituency.
While Melaye polled a final vote of 99, Yusuf got 163 votes from the delegates to clinch the PDP ticket for the Kogi West Senatorial Constituency.
Before the deciding votes on Tuesday, both Melaye and Yusuf tied on 88 votes on Monday while another aspirant, Sam Aro got 72 votes to send the primaries into a run-off.
It was at this point that supporters of Aro decided to pitch their tent with Yusuf which gave the House of Rep member block votes to defeat Melaye.
